I am so happy to meet you again in this post. I hope you all always maintain your health even though you are busy with your daily activities. On this occasion, I want to share about 10 Simple Tips Having Healthy Lips: Easy to Follow for all of you to keep your lips healthy.
How to Have Healthy and Beautiful Lips?
A good appearance is an appearance that shows people that we have a healthy body. Healthy skin and a clean face indicate that our body is healthy. But did you know, other people can judge whether we are healthy from our lips?
How to have healthy and beautiful lips? Here are the tips:
1. Consume Water Regularly
The first and easiest thing to care for
healthy lips is to consume mineral water regularly. By consuming water regularly,
apart from making the body healthy, it also functions as a way to avoid
dehydration. When you are dehydrated, your lips will be dry. Dry lips are an
uncomfortable condition and unattractive for others to see.
2. The Habit of Wetting The Lips With The Tongue
This point is still very related to the first point. When you are dehydrated, you tend to wet your lips. However, this behavior of continuously wetting your lips will also make your lips dry because there is less and less saliva.
Saliva is a clear liquid made by several glands in your mouth area. And, saliva is very important for your healthy body because contains important substances that your body needs, mostly for digesting food and keeping your teeth strong.
3. Diligently Brush Your Teeth Everyday
Next, this method sounds more like caring for teeth than caring for lips. But these two things can be related and the importance of healthy teeth is very important for healthy lips.
Healthy teeth will make the
space in the mouth clean and free from germs that can threaten the health of
the lips. One disease that can threaten the health of the lips due to teeth or
mouth that are not kept clean is canker sores.
4. Reduce Smoking and High-caffeinated Drinks
In fact, caffeine is a diuretic that can dehydrate the body, leading to dryness and chapping of the lips. Dehydration and dryness can cause dark pigmentation.
In addition, the chemicals in smoke can cause blue, black, or purple discoloration as well as wrinkles in the form of small vertical lines on the lips.
5. Consume Foods That Contain Lots of Vitamin E
From a medical perspective, vitamin E has a
high contribution to healthy skin, including lips. Consuming vitamin E is
highly recommended to keep lips healthy. Consuming a variety of fruits such as
kiwi, avocado and mango will also help lip health because these fruits have a
high vitamin E content.
Being Indonesian is also a blessing because
spinach, kale, and potatoes can grow abundantly in Indonesia. These vegetables
also contain high levels of vitamin E and are useful for lip health.
6. Protect Your Lips From Sun Exposure
Further, using lip balm that contains SPF (Sun
protection factor) is one of the easiest ways to care for your lips. Lip balm
or lip cream will keep your lips moist and look healthy. Lip balm is also able
to disguise black lips due to smoking and caffeine. However, it is recommended
not to consume excessive cigarettes and caffeine.
Apart from that, lip balm is also able to
prevent skin aging on the lips, hyperpigmentation, and chapped lip problems.
7. Use a Mask When in Pollution-prone Areas
Air pollution can make your lips unhealthy.
When in areas prone to pollution, such as on city streets that are
busy with vehicles, factory areas or areas where there is a lot of smoke, using
a mask is the right way to protect the health of your lips.
8. Don't Forget to Remove Lipstick Before Going to Bed
Furthermore, for women who like to put on make-up, don't
forget to remove your make-up every time you finish an event or go to bed. Lip
makeup that is not removed will cause the makeup to accumulate on the lips
where the lip makeup has been exposed to solar radiation, vehicle fumes, and
other dangerous substances that you don't know about.
9. Exfoliate Your Lips
Exfoliation includes the following:
- Brush your teeth first. Then make sure there are no traces of lipstick, lip balm, or lip cream on your lips. To clean your lips more optimally, you can use cleansing oil.
- Coat your lips with a natural exfoliating scrub from ingredients such as honey, coconut oil, and oatmeal or you can make it yourself using internet guides.
- Make circular movements around your lips to coat your lips with a natural exfoliating scrub. You can use a very soft toothbrush that is free from sticky toothpaste. But you have to do it slowly so your lips don't get damaged or irritated.
- After applying the natural scrub, rinse with water or you can use a wet towel.
Once you've done all that, the last thing is
to apply lip balm. You can do this repeatedly to get healthy lips.
10. Avoid Eating Oily Foods
Often without realizing it, we don't clean our
lips when we eat oily food. As a result, oil accumulates on the surface of the
lips.
Those are 10 Simple Tips Having Healthy Lips: Easy to Follow that I can share this time. Hopefully, this can help remind you of the importance of maintaining healthy lips.
